Motel Overview

Surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges and local wildlife, Kookaburra Motor Lodge is located in the centre of Halls Gap, the heart of the Grampians National Park. It is also a 5-minute walk from the visitor information centre, parks, playgrounds, swimming pool, shops and restaurants and cafes.
The rooms are all bright and airy, featuring sliding glass doors opening to lawn and paved seating areas. Each room offers heating and air conditioning, a microwave oven, small refrigerator and a flat-screen TV. The private en suite bathroom comes equipped with a hair dryer, and linens and towels are provided. DVD players are available and movies are free, and WiFi is accessible free of charge.
Cooked or continental breakfasts can be served to your room at an additional cost. Laundry facilities are available along with a free gas BBQ in the courtyard area.
Kookaburra Motor Lodge Halls Gap is a 10-minute drive from the Halls Gap Zoo, and a 5-minute drive from Mt Victory Road where iconic attractions such as The Pinnacle, Boroka Lookout, The Balconies and McKenzie Falls can be explored.

Great location in halls gap close to everything you’d want in town and all the trail heads. Nice view of the Grampians from the back of the unit.

Room was a good size (stayed in room 4 for two separate nights), clean, comfortable and everything I needed. A nice display of local wildlife on the lawn in the morning was an added bonus!

The property is in quiet central location in Halls Gap. Close to restaurants and other amenities. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay during our Grampian Peaks Trail hike. It was comfortable and clean and we had access to laundry including a dryer. Moreover, the staff kept a bag for us before we arrived so that we had our food ready to go for the next stage of the trip. They also kept our bag till after our trip. A great service.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the view outside the back was absolutely beautiful, the room was clean and tidy, checking in and out was really easy, they told us everything we needed to know :) we really enjoyed out stay :)

I have stayed here many times. the location is perfect, a short stroll to all the shops, cafes, restaurants and pub. The view from the rooms facing Boronia peak are excellent. The motel is in a quiet street behind the main shopping strip, accommodation is good and owners are always helpful.
