We really loved the hostel and got great tipps from our host. The location is very handy if you want to explore sights in the area. Kitchen, common space very well maintained!

Very good position to reach the Diamond Beach and the Glacier Lagoon. Useful if you are planning some activities on the Vatnajokull. Big kitchen with all essentials. Quite expensive for a hostel, but there is literally not much around that area.

Warm and well organised hostel with a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee, skyr and baked goods. Good location for the glacier lagoon and Diamond beach.

Mike is an amazing host, he offers coffee, tea, milk, skyr, and a delicious welcoming cake. The rooms are spacious and comfy, there is also a small sink inside. We really felt like at home!

The space was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. It was close to the activities we had planned out for the following day (Diamond Beach, Glacier Lagoon, etc).

Skyrhúsid was nice. The Kitchen was fully equipped plus there was a coffee machine with a good coffee. Fridge was full of juices and milk, free to use. Also the delicious welcome cake was prepared. Showers and toilets was clean.

The place is awesome. staff here is so kind to provide all the things in kitchen. and kind enough to provide cookies which gave us the recipe as well.

It was very cozy and atmospheric. A large kitchen was available for cooking. The room was quite spacious. Free tea, a coffee machine, juice, and yogurt were provided. Additionally, a traditional Icelandic cake was baked for the guests, which was a very nice gesture. Products were also offered for purchase in case you didn’t make it to the supermarket.
