Delivered its promise of seclusion, comfort and amenities. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Tip to travellers definitely take the on site vehicle offer as you’ll appreciate the wheels when the weather turns in an instant.

The location,comfort, spacious bathroom, friendliness and relaxed atmosphere created by owners, plus the use of a property car while staying which made travel to walking tracks and the main centre so easy.

View was the best, Bill was helpful didn't meet anyone else. Loved the peace and quiet, feeding the kea was awesome, access to laundry was great. Thanks for baking me yummy Christmas cake and supplying yummy biscuits. Heat pump worked. Great selection of coffee, even nespeesso. Bed was comfy, pillow not so much. Supplied shopping bags.

The accommodation was unlike anywhere we've stayed before, but in the best possible way. Really allows you to get back to nature, but with city lifes most desired conveniences still close at hand. The views from the window/balcony area are gorgeous, the guest house itself was cosy, spacious and really quiet, but is also close to beaches and areas where lots of birds like to reside, which is awesome. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were fab and really well stocked. The big comfy beds with lots of pillows and blankets, as well as a few additional heating options were so helpful and welcoming as we went during the colder, rainier season. We spent a lot of time exploring the island but I could have just as happily spent all my time in our cosy Anchorstone home away from home.

The location has beautiful views. Nestled in the bush and can see and hear all the birdlife. You can teh waves on the beach below.

The use of the car was such a great bonus, it meant we got to explore so much more. Bill was so friendly and informative and we LOVED the birdsong and our visit form the Kaka.
