Such a lovely stay at Kazue no Ko. It’s warm, cosy and gentle. Just right for a couple of mature travellers ( though there were plenty of younger people there too who seemed to be enjoying it just as much ) The shuttle bus to the slopes stops a few yards away and there is a 7-11 on the corner. A quiet area though easy to have a few beers in Happo and get an uber or the night bus back . We ate Japanese food at the Thai 50 yards away and at the Italian just across the road. Both were excellent. Toshi and his wife were so welcoming and helpful. They helped with a lift when I misread the shuttle timetable and again when we decided to get earlier bus back to Nagano . Their recommended ski hire place was incredibly good value.. there are basic cooking facilities if you need them and plenty of take away and delivery options too. The onsen was great after a day skiing and the facilities are spotlessly clean. The rooms are warm and the beds are very comfortable. Highly recommended, was very sad to leave.

Everything. The interior decor is a true representation of Japanese style. Beautiful warm interior with an amazing collection of what seemed like a lifetime of collecting hand made goods. I instantly felt relaxed. The owners are such beautiful kind people and made us feel so at home. Amazing coffee. My friend left her phone on the table after Toshi, one of the owners, (sorry if I get your name wrong) kindly dropped us to Hakuba Station. He swiftly contacted us and offered to drop it off straight away and wouldn’t take anything for it. Such a kind person. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Super close to everything aswell :)

This is a beautiful wooden lodge tucked away in Hakuba with easy access to the Goryu and Happo One slopes. Run by a very sweet and kind man who speaks pretty good English it's the perfect spot for a great Ski holiday.

Close enough proximity to the main strip. Right outside the bus station to take you to several resorts. 7-11 just around the corner for all of your snacking needs. The hosts are very gracious and kind. The rooms are comfortable and the blankets on the beds are very warm and cozy.

Toshi and his family are great hosts. Being given directions and tips is so helpful when navigating the transport in Hakuba. The pick up and drop off were great and the dorm room comfortable. I really liked having coffee morning and afternoon and 7-11 right round the corner and bus stops too.

It was a very cozy place to stay in, more of a personal, open home that has been taken care of quite well than your typical Airbnb per se. Very stylized yet great value. The couple managing the place were also very friendly and helpful, even though I do not speak Japanese well as we communicated. Also, they were very kind to pick me up from the bus stop when I arrived, and dropped me off at the bus station after I checked out. I would love to come again and experience the town and their hospitality at a different season next time!
