Had a wonderful stay. Room was spacious and comfortable. We had our own toilet and sink, and showers were in the shared onsen area, which was very clean and quiet. Staff was kind and professional. We booked with breakfast and dinner and both were wonderful with a wide variety of items to try. My friend is pescatarian and they accomodated her graciously. Easy bus access from Odawara, Hakone-Yumoto, or Togendai.

It's a location that's easy to access with the Hakone Free Pass. There is a direct shuttle from Haneda Airport, but it wasn't easy to match the timing. First of all, the room was incredibly spacious, and the breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. We stayed in a private ryokan, and as soon as we entered the room, we found the futon so comfortable that we passed out immediately and slept soundly until the next morning.

The room was amazing and spacious, the private onsen was absolutely fantastic, the location was right next to a bus stop so it was super easy to get around Hakone and most importantly, the food was the nicest I had while in Japan. Just perfect really.

We had an exceptional stay and would definitely return if we visit Hakone again. The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance ( if you love walking), and the bus is easily accessible for exploring the area. Our room was incredible, with a super comfortable bed that made for a restful sleep. The onsen was fantastic—relaxing and beautifully maintained. Both breakfast and dinner were served, and the food was outstanding. I especially appreciated the traditional touches throughout the experience, which added to the charm and authenticity of our stay.

Everything was fantastic: The japanese room with two windows (on the side of the building), the outdoor hot spring and onsen, and most of all, the amazing breakfast and dinner menus. Do treat yourself and order one!
