I can't imagine a more suitable place for relaxing and bathing in Hakone. Hotel has several springs, some are public, some are outdoor, every room also has an outdoor private bathtub. And room is tidy and clean, springs are super awesome.

Variety of onsen was very good, and the onsen facilities in general were very nice. Rooms are spacious and well set up. Staff was kind in arranging us transport vans to/from Kowakidani station. Breakfast options were traditional and very good.

We had such a great time staying at Mizunoto! Meals were fabulous - fantastic hot meals both in the morning and evenings that used seasonal ingredients. We enjoyed using the private onsen facilities at Mizunoto, which were easy to use and very appreciated after a long day of exploring Hakone. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed soaking in the view of the mountains from the tub on the balcony.

Everything was perfect. From the check-in to the dinner, we felt valued. My husband and I are big people and were given extra large yukatas from the ones they rent out to guests for free. We had an outdoor bath in our room which we used but also managed to use the private outdoor Onsen which was amazing. The views around the hotel are just fantastic and dinner was delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Beautiful setting, large rooms, friendly staff, great set up with the private onsen available especially for families with teenagers who may not want to use the public onsen. Ice cream and dumplings available in the lobby area is a nice touch. Food was very good and service excellent. We struggled with the Japanese breakfast as westerners but on the second day had a western style one (apparently the kids menu!) which was a bit better suited to us. Good to try the Japanese one though!

The onsen were great, and the location was gorgeous. The first dinner, Japanese hot pot, was amazing and the person in charge of our table made it even more enjoyable.

Lovely location with fantastic baths, both in the garden and on the balcony of our room. Clothes for us to wear in sizes that fitted and a beautiful aesthetic to the whole place.
