Supremely comfortable, we booked a room with a private outdoor hot spring bath and it was absolutely sublime. The food at the traditional dinner was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast the next morning, and the staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. A mere 2 minute walk from a bus stop and walking distance from the nearby town. Cannot find any fault at all.

The experience of traditional Ryokan is something you get here every step. The atmosphere, the hot baths and tatami rooms were something we will not forget soon. If we ever go back to Hakone this will be the place to return for sure!

5-10 min walk from Hakone Yumoto station. Wonderful experience. We rented the private onsen in the evening too which was available for 45mins and is on the rooftop. The dinner and breakfast was exceptional and service fantastic. Water and tea is included but have to pay for other drinks (as you would expect). Lovely spacious room. We had such a relaxing stay! I had a bit of a cough/sore throat and despite not speaking much English, the lady on the desk at checkout gave us Japanese cough sweets to help - a nice personal touch showing how attentive the staff are.

Our stay was exceptional. So relaxing & fantastic surroundings. Our room was very comfortable and authentic, dinner was amazing & we enjoyed the onsen. A true Japanese experience to remember. A special note to the wonderful staff and their hospitality. Especially the amazing lady of the Inn, who was so welcoming & looked after us so generously when we had to leave early in the morning. We felt treated as if old friends!

Excellent Japanese breakfast (finishing up with a cup of coffee was ideal). Dinner was execellent as well. English speaking staff available to assist with communication. Especially helpful in explaining ingredients.

Conveniently located for an overnight stop in Hakone. We really enjoyed having the private onsen on our balcony. Traditional dinner and breakfast service was fun and excellent food.

This is a gem of a place, located walking distance from Hakone train station and easy to find. The woman running this Ryokan is amazing and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. All of the staff made us feel at home. The place is very clean, the rooms stocked with everything needed, and the food was all amazing. We loved the experience of eating in private rooms and being served endless amounts of food!
