This is a stay for anyone open-minded and willing to give Japanese culture a try. From freshly washed and ironed daily kimonos, to beautifully presented and organised Japanese cuisine - breakfast and dinner is provided. The hotel is not the newest and, sure, it could do with updating, but it does have generously sized rooms. If you have stayed in Japan long enough, you'll know that the rooms aren't the biggest. The service is exceptional. The staff are very accommodating and there isn't a requested too big. Highly recommended to open minds.

Our room was comfortable. The dinner and breakfast was a traditional Japanese meal, which was a great experience and was very nice. The staff were lovely.

Best onsen, really great dinner and breakfast, the hotel is small and cozy, it’s quiet and I would love to highlight the BEST hospitality from the staff!! The first day we arrive at Gora station, we use the public phone at the station to call the hotel asking for pick up service. She arrived in minutes. And even helped us to carry our heavy luggage. The next day she sent us to the bus station as she knew that we would like to visit the museum where the bus station had the direct bus to access. Well on the last day we felt sorry for checked out 30 minutes late, but she still sent us to the train station which we REALLY appreciated it!!

Beautiful food, comfortable rooms, catered for gluten free, close to ropeway and cable car stations. Onsen was lovely and staff were very kind.
