The most amazing hosts you will ever find! Sooo kind and helpful and they even gave a lovely snack pack to each of our 3 daughters! The room was the perfect size and I had the best night’s sleep - the futons were the most comfortable I have ever had and such cosy pillows! We came here after reading the reviews and seeing the decor and we just loved everything about our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

I wouldn’t exaggerate if I said that this hotel is my favorite in Japan. It was our second stay here, we stayed in Puppy Tail last fall and rebooked it for our second trip to Hakodate without any doubts. The staff is friendly, the amenities are exceptional, the vibe is literally immaculate. Staying here feels like staying at your grandparents in the best sense, very cozy and comfortable.

I loved the presentation of the hotel and the rooms. The decor was personalised to how the owners wanted to deliver the hotel experience. The hotel was lovely.

No breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Everything was as we expected, and any requests were immediately responded to. We were greeted warmly and even given a small takeaway gift when we left.

Location was really good, super close tp Hakodate station The staff were really nice and helpful They allowed us to keep our bags the morning of check out so we could go exploring without dragging bags around or paying for a coin locker The cats in the reception area were.suoer cute as well, even if they ignored me The design and furniture of Pension Puppy Tail is definitely very retro, which may not appeal to everyone. I loved it, my partner not so much Beds were futons in our room, which we had to put out ourself which was just unfolding them and super easy We got a room with a private bathroom

Everything was perfect. Very warm welcome,room was as expected. Location is also great,it is really close to Hakodate station. I also do appreciate the boss trying to learn few words of my language,so cool. Thank you very much

Excellent location, close the JR station and the morning markets. The owner is extremely friendly and will go out of his way to make you feel welcome. The place is very clean too
