What a wonderful experience we had here, probably the best we had in our trip to Armenia! Mary, the owner of this family-owned hotel, was one of the kindest and friendliest people we met during our trip. She cooked us some typical and delicious food for dinner and breakfast and she offered us coffee and tea whenever we wanted. The position of course is unbelievable: waking up with Haghpat monastery in front of our room is also incredible. I also forgot a pair of shoes to this hotel and they were so kind to organise a delivery to our hotel in Yerevan the day after. The rooms are very simple and essential, but cleaning and confort were perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Family run hotel located in the centre of nice little village, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. It has a restaurant with tasty local dishes, few small shops just across the road, good WiFi. Very kind owner with well spoken English. Place to store our 2 bicycles.

During our three-week trip, we encountered quite a few hospitable and friendly hotel owners, but none stood out like Mary and her family. Dining at Haghpat Hotel is highly recommended.

Very nice location, right next to the monastry. The host family is really lovely, they made an excellent dinner and proper breakfast. Thanks to the lovely host, her man and daughter who made our stay perfect.
