We chose this place because it was a good compromise between walking distance from the train station, central location for the main square, and price. The staff are top-notch; very engaging and keen for you to enjoy your stay...so expect lots of tips and recommendations. They also leave some drinks and a coffee machine in the breakfast room on an honesty system, which we made use of one night due to the weather (rain in December; not unusual). The stairs are extremely steep so this location is not recommended for those with mobility issues, but we managed. The location is excellent, a short stroll from the main square and loads of good shops, cafes and restaurants. Our room was perhaps a little basic, but clean and we could keep it at a comfortable temperature for sleeping, so that was good. Overall highly recommended.

The host was very helpful, carrying our luggage up the stairs, giving us advice on local sightseeing. Our room was always clean. Lovely walk I. Shower with heated floor was a treat!

Great location just outside the busy city center, but only a few minutes walk to the Grote Markt. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Extensive and delicious breakfast. Nice array of drinks and such available throughout the day.

It was a wonderful stay in Haarlem. Annemarie and Henk do make it special, and you feel like home. The breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit and bread, and joghurt with homemade compote. We had a budget double room, so it was a bit small, but with high ceilings and very cozy and warm. We were not bothered by any noise, it was peaceful and quiet.The location is great, and Annemarie and Henk make sure you visit the best places.
