The room was as expected - it's a bit small but it has its pros and cons (the heating really works well at a max temp of 30C because the space is small, but there's not much room to put two open luggage trolleys). The bed is huge and comfy, linens and towels provided are clean. The bathroom is spacious enough. What was exceptional was the staff. Almost all the front desk staff we interacted with knew how to speak English well and they were able to book tours and give us restaurant recommendations as well. They even type it on the maps on your phone. The hostel is also close to a lot of small shops so you can buy water and other essentials, and close to good restaurants as well. It is quite a walk going to the Elephant Trunk area, but can easily get a didi. The common area too was very pretty. The laundry was at 15RMB per load and they give it to you 2 hours at the minimum after you drop off, but it could be up to the next day depending on the queue. Very convenient. Location is great since it's walking distance (if you only have a backpack maybe) or 2-3 minute didi ride to the nearest high-speed train station.

Great, Clean room with a window for fresh air. helpful staff at front desk too e.g. recommended a food place for me to try, and lended me a weight for my luggage.
