My first day in Guilin was at Serene Vale Inn Gui Lin. My impression of Guilin was good since the view from the room was beautiful. The Hill can be seen through the window of our bedroom and I thought this hotel's name Serene Vale suits the property and it is calm and peaceful. The bedroom is decorated is a traditional Chinese style including accessories such as a tea table with a Chinese tea set. Breakfast was simple but good. They even supplied our breakfast to take away for the Li River Cruise since we had to leave early at 6 a.m. The staff provided us late late-night food service, to buy the noodle soup dinner when we needed it at late night by the night duty staff since it was winter and their kitchen had closed. Our first night experience and I could tell it was also my husband, 's birthday. We did not want to go out, it was very cold ;

-Amazing staff at the hotel, very helpful and friendly -Clean room with beautiful decor and view -Peacefull and beautiful location, they let us borrow their scooter so we could see the town and mountain too. -Good breakfast included and good laundry service

A superb hotel well situated in a small village, but with easy access to Guilin city. Located in a quiet, peaceful setting, the village has many facilities and you can easily walk to the neighbouring villages following the nature trail, with no cars to worry about. Delicious food is available at nearby restaurants, all within a short walking distance of the hotel. The staff are fantastic; really helpful & lovely people. They provided us with many ideas for days out exploring the local area. The breakfast is delicious & hotel facilities are excellent. The hotel staff kept our luggage safe, for free, while we went off for a few days to explore other parts of China. Everything about this hotel is exceptional.

The pictures are exactly what u will get from this hotel. The staffs are very kind and helpful, very professional and courteous. It is around 1.5hours away from Yangshuo but tour packages are abundant. If you feeling a bit adventorous, just take Didi everywhere. The breakfast was simple but delicious.

Staff there is really helpful, the Chinese style breakfast is good. Location is around 15 mins away from the centre but Didi is really easy to get there. Definitely a place i will stay again in the future if i ever come back

The staffs were great, super kind and accommodating. The location though slightly far out from the city centre, is near the reed flute cave, and has a beautiful trail for cycling, e-biking and running, it's right in the heart of Guilin nature.

The host made our stay so comfortable. She look after our every need. We used their scooter at will for free. She even did our laundry for us. One of those stays that make you feel cared for.

I was looking for quiet rural hotel, and this was indeed nice small hotel in quiet village with big room, good bed, big window with beautiful panoramic view.

The hotel looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The room is beautiful, modern, and clean, and the staff—especially Melody—are incredibly friendly and helpful. They offer two types of breakfast, Western and Chinese, both of which are delicious. I was initially worried about the location, but it turned out to be perfect. There are no crowds (even during Golden Week!), and it’s close to nature with Reed Flute Cave within walking distance. A taxi (Didi) ride to Guilin city center costs around 12 yuan (about 1.5-2 euros), which is really convenient, and I never had any issues with transportation. I hope to return one day!
