Hotel Overview

Hotel Blümlisalp is located amid the First and Männlichen Ski and Hiking Area, on the road to the Upper Grindelwald Glacier. The ski bus stop is in front of the hotel and runs every 15 min. In winter, you can ski right down to the hotel. Free parking is available.
All rooms feature garden and mountain views, cable TV and solid wooden furniture. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the entire building.
The restaurant offers traditional Swiss cuisine, using mainly organic products from the owner's farm right next to the hotel. From the restaurant you can enjoy panoramic views of the Eiger Mountain.
You can also buy home-made meat specialities and milk products in the farm shop. The owner himself is also a butcher and cook. Children can enjoy watching the farm animals or have fun in the kids corner.
The Grindelwald Train Station is an 8-minute drive away and a bus stop is located right next to the Blümlisalp Hotel.

The staff were absolutely brilliant! Claudia was friendly, helpful and so kind. She chatted with us in the mornings at breakfast and asked us how our day was when we returned in the evenings; she really elevated our stay here! The hotel was far away from the town centre so it was very quiet and peaceful. The bus ride up to the hotel was absolutely gorgeous we were blessed with beautiful views of the village that you would not otherwise get staying in the main town.

Location and views were stunning. Good value considering some of the prices for similar accommodation in Grindelwald. The dog - Baloo, he was the friendliest of the staff!

Fantastic quiet location with breathtaking mountain views. Our room was on the first floor with large balcony directly facing the mountains. The room was spacious and comfortably furnished. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner also very good with lots of produce from the owners farm. Bus stop immediately outside with a great free bus service into Grindelwald town centre that runs every 30mins till early evening. Other reviews have mentioned that the lady in charge was abrupt but she was very friendly to us and could switch between 4 different languages to ensure everyone felt welcome.
