Hotel Overview

The family-run Alpenhof hotel is only 3 minutes walk away from the centre of Grindelwald and the train station, and is situated right at the ski slope.
The rooms and suites all have either a balcony or terrace, are accessible by lift, and feature free WiFi access. They all come with a HD TV, a radio, a telephone, a minibar, a coffee machine and a bathroom with hairdryer and shower or bath tub. Some rooms have panoramic views towards the Eiger Mountain.

The location of the hotel was very good, close to the railway terminus and close to shops. restaurants, etc. There was a lovely outlook from the hotel. We had one of rooms at the top of the building and it was more like an apartment with a separate bedroom, so plenty of space.

View of the mountains amazing. Lovely flowers on the balcony and breakfast was delicious. Great location, just up the road from the train station.

I liked everything. Close to the station and the center. Access with a card and not with a key like in other hotels. A nice fountain at the entrance. Refrigerator in the room, beautiful mountain view and very spacious room. I like that each room door has a drawn alpine flower. If I return to Grindelwald this is where I will stay.

The staff are friendly, and the breakfast is prepared with great care. The view from the balcony is amazing. It’s very close to the train station, although the path is a bit steep.

We had a room with a view to the Eiger mountain which made it even better. Breakfast was excellent, everything had a lot of quality! Room was very clean and the staff was very nice
