One of the best hostels in New Zealand, where I stayed. Owners are suuuuper nice! It is clean, room was good and bed is comfortable. It is very hygenic. Kitchen is well equipped, there is free coffee and tea! I even extended my stay with 2 extra nights! They also let you use the bike for free! Highly suggest to visit the Point of Elizabeth!

Quiet and friendly. Did my washing and hung it up in the back garden. Did an excellent walk up ‘King domain walk’ and turned right on a small secret path at the top which took me along a ridge. It was the most beautiful and fun hike of my world trip. I regret not staying longer here, staff were super friendly too.

The new owners (Dec 2024) are very hard working. The kitchen has a great work space, fridges,etc. They are working at updating the older building... it used to be a rectory, it is gorgeous. I would definitely stay there again, towels need to be rented.

Lovely place with nice showers and kitchen facilities, and relaxing outdoor garden space, very friendly and welcoming staff, great prices, value for money, the rooms were really nice , with clean fresh sheets.

This is one of the few social hostel we have seen in NZ. Theme rooms are fun. Beds were OK. The kitchen is big & clean and has a lot of stuff. Staff were helpfull too
