Hotel Overview

The Daffodil Hotel and Spa offers contemporary luxury on the shores of Grasmere water, located in the heart of The Lake District and just a short walk into Grasmere village. A full English breakfast is served each morning and free WiFi is available throughout.

The hotel is situated on the A591 as you enter Grasmere which allows easy access to the popular Lake District towns of Keswick 13 miles to the north and Ambleside 4 miles to the south.

We stayed in for dinner on our stay, which was exceptional. In particular, our server Arek for our evening meal was excellent. The best server we've ever had.

Stayed for one night mid week. Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff were very friendly. Room was specious clean and comfortable. Spa was nice. Food excellent.

Our 'standard' room was good sized with a lovely bathroom that was spotlessly clean. All of the amenities that you'd expect were in there. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good with excellent service. We rang reception and ordered room service for breakfast which is always a real treat. There was a good selection available and when it arrived it was cooked to perfection - lovely, thank you! We spent the day in the spa where we both had massages. My lady was called Leah and she was excellent, managing to shift many muscle knots. Left feeling totally blissed out - again, thank you! We also had vouchers for afternoon tea which was served in the restaurant. Again, this was a lovely treat which we both enjoyed. We loved the art work throughout the hotel and the reception staff (Shanelle especially) were also brilliant. They very kindly returned to me a much loved necklace that I left in the robe pocket in the spa - again, thank you! All in all a really lovely short Winter break that we thoroughly enjoyed.
