Hotel Overview

Located on a hilltop of Goreme, Traveller's Cave Hotel features many terraces with views of Cappadocia. Guests can watch the sunrise, sunset, the hot air balloons floating over Cappadocia and the fairy chimneys. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Goreme's town centre. Lower deck of the property offers beautiful views of Rose Valley and an outdoor free hot tub.
Traveller's Cave Hotel’s rooms are carved into the volcanic rocks of Cappadocia which is registered by UNESCO since 1985. They are fitted with air conditioning, central heating and a fireplace. All rooms come with flat-screen TV and satellite channels. Safe box, ready-to-use fireplace and a minibar are included in all rooms. Bathrooms offer free toiletries, slippers and a hairdryer. Some bathrooms also include a spa bath.
Open-buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant. Local dishes and local wine are also offered.
Staff at Traveller’s Cave can organise airport shuttle services to and from Kayseri and Nevsehir airports. Guests can join sightseeing tours with hot air balloon rides. Traditional Turkish nights, whirling Dervish shows, horse riding and ATV tours can also be organised by the property. Guests can explore the area using the hotel’s rental bikes.
Property is 5 minutes walk from Goreme Bus Station and only 2 km from Goreme Open Air Museum. Kayseri Erkilet Airport is 70 minutes drive and Nevsehir Airport is 40 minutes drive from the property.

The property is perfect for the view and rooms is really amazing. We chose the room with jacuzzi and it makes the stay more relaxing despite the weather. The hotel helped us on booking our tour and the memorable hot air balloon ride. The staff were so friendly and approachable.

The location was amazing, being able to see the balloons in the morning. Loved our room with the open fire, which we lit each evening. Good choice of Turkish food for breakfast and affordable laundry service. Easy walk down to the restaurants and cafes.

Perfect location just a 5 min walk to the centre of Goreme but quiet and with the BEST views of the balloons every morning. Fireplace in our room was divine (not needed for heat but to be able to sit by the fire and look out of our glass door at the amazing view was amazing). Our room couldn't have been better (Room 7). Staff were exceptionally helpful and booking balloon flights, excursions and taxis through them was easy.

The room was absolutely amazing and exactly what we were hoping for. Really romantic, clean, and loved the decor/cave/combo/fireplace. We got the room that we were hoping to get! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We were at one of the bottom rooms at the bottom of the icy stairs and the guy at the front desk (forget his name- but he was SO wonderful) carried down our bags and lit the fire in our room and just went above and beyond. The breakfast spread was huge and fresh and very delicious. The view and proximity to the center was great. We stayed for 3 nights and would absolutely go back again!

The hotel is at a unique location overlooking the Goreme town valley, which can be a perfect place to watch colourful ballons floating through the town valley. The hotel manager, Hakan, is very helpful young fellow in recommending tours on request and answering questions, and he can also speak Mandarin, which can be a unique bonus for some visitors.

Fantastic location, plenty of balcony space to lounge and view balloons. Breakfast was a wide range of choice and good quality. Rooms were very picturesque, comfortable and spacious. Staff spoke English well and were helpful ordering taxi's etc.
