I recently stayed at the Barrels and was thoroughly impressed! The rooms are beautifully modern. Waking up to the stunning views each morning was a highlight. The hosts went above and beyond, making me feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout my stay. Every detail, from the decor to the ambiance, made the place feel vibrant and unique. Highly recommend!

Amazing family who were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were really modern and clean, and the food was the best we had in Albania. Also the complimentary breakfast was really good with homemade butter and jam.

It was one of the best (or maybe simply the best) experience in our trip to Albania. The place is breathtaking, wine and food are delicious and owners are the most sweet and hospitable people you will meet in your life. We left our hearts in this place and definitely will come back some day! Regarding the rooms - it was excellent, clean, high standard.

Rooms are very modern, nice, and with good size. The breaksfast was full of surprises and there was sth for everyone. We really enjoyed our short stay there, the owners were also very friendly. Would recommend for sure!

The barrels is located in the nature close to Gjirokaster. Marcel and Esmeralda are incredibly nice hosts. We sat within a wine yard with a great view and enjoyed amazing food and wine. We were surrounded by friendliness and outstanding service which made our stay unique. Highly recommended!

Lovely family run business, with friendly and attentive staff, the rooms were clean and modern. The food was delicious and the gardens were beautiful full of fruit trees and vineyards.

My partner & I are currently doing a road trip around the south of Albania, we are coming to the end sadly but this accommodation has been the best one by far! It really had the wow factor for us, it is only a 10 minute drive to get to the parking for the old town in Gjirokastër, so for us it was a perfect location. I can honestly say the owners were the most wonderful people we have met, it made the experience so much more amazing. They were so friendly and they have done a great job with this place. We felt relaxed from the minute we got there, the breakfast was a very good surprise as we got a lot for the price we paid for. Everything was homegrown/homemade and you could really tell. Over all, it was a great choice and we couldn’t fault it. We were sad to leave!

The owners were really nice people, helpful and friendly, the rooms are newly built and very nice, spotlessly clean and comfortable, Excellent bathroom. Tea & coffee making in room and a fridge. While there we ate breakfast, Lunch and dinner. All meals were excellent and homemade.
