Perfectly located in the hart of the old city center. Castle, old bazar, other historical sites and bars are literally a few minutes away. Breakfast was really, really good and nicely decorated with an amazing view of the city. Only the history of the hotel and the owner’s family itself are worth a stay in my opinion.

Such a caring family! Thank you for making us so welcome, we even got an upgrade which was so unexpected! I genuinely think we may have had THE best room in Gjirokastër! The window looked out into “the” iconic people watching street and was just so much fun to sit at! Food was INCREDIBLE! The care and attention to detail is everything. oh and do not be scared to drive into Gjirokastra, just take your time and it will be fine!

Central location in the heart of the old town close to cafes, bars and shops. Owner helped us with parking and carrying luggage and was very attentive to our needs during our stay. Attractive and comfortable room. Generous breakfast.

Hotel SS Kekezi is located right in the old city centre. Hotel it is a situated above the busy restaurant. It is not really easy to find however, people around are able to show you where it is located. From the street level you have to take quite a few stairs to reach the place where your rooms are. There's no such thing as a normal reception, however there is always someone there who you can ask and they will call the owner of the property, who will show you around and the property and your room. And there is way more than few hotel rooms there. One can find a great restaurant, serving local food and which has a stunning view over the city, castle and local area. This was also a place, where breakfast was served next day. Owner of the hotel is very friendly and takes extra mile to make everyone welcome and comfortable. Room: There is nothing bad I can say about our room. Spacious, clean, bright with great vie on the on of the old streets of the town. Good place to relax after whole day of sightseeing. Bathroom with a shower, which again did not have a door (that seams to be quite common in Albania). Simply, nothing to complain about. Food: First day we decided to order food from the hotel restaurant. It was a shared board of local meet for two. Somehow, I think three or four people could be feed by it. Food was tasty, fresh and was more than enough. Dinner with a night skyline of the town is something to recommend. In the morning, we were served breakfast. And this was the best breakfast we had in Albania. Good, freshly prepared. Fried omelette, bread, cheese, fruits, olives, honey, marmalade, coffee, juice. It was so much, that we could not finish everything, which is such a shame. Definitely breakfast we are going to remember. General: Hotel SS Kekezi is a definitely place to recommend. Guest feel welcome and owner goes extra mile to make your stay even more enjoyable and comfortable. Rook was spacious and comfortable. Food great and more than enough

The location of the hotel is in the middle of the old city. We had a 2 persons economy room which was good for us as a couple. The owners of the hotel are really friendly and the breakfast is good. What really important is to be aware of that the hotel is located above the street with the bars with loud music. Even with earplugs in, the music was really loud. (We have to say that we slept there on a friday and saturday night). Eventhough we've been told that the music would stop at midnight, it kept going till at least 1 a.m. Our night wasn't that great because of that but if you go to bed later than what we did (after 1 a.m. in the weekend) the room and hotel is a 10. Especially the location is one of the best into town!
