It is a very cute and nice family guesthouse. The owner Edmond was very kind and helpful in all aspects. Breakfast was very nice. The room wasnt very big but it was enough for two and it was very clean. Overall it was a good experience that I'd reccomend

Gorgeous views from the balcony outside our room . Excellent breakfast in a magic setting probably the best breakfast we have had on our entire 2 mth trip . Host was very helpful

The rooms are spotless comfortable and charming The location quiet but close to all main attractions and so very relaxing Edmond and his family are just the best hosts ever and welcome you as a family member and make you feel instantly at home The food is wonderful and stay for dinner to experience the best meal on your trip It’s the perfect guesthouse with the best hosts Cannot recommend enough

We loved the building and the traditional character of our ensuite room. The views are amazing, both from our terrace and the shared terrace where you have breakfast. Edmond was friendly and welcoming. We loved the location. In no time we were right in. Grateful to have stayed here!

We had a great stay at Guesthouse Mele! The host was super nice, he even helped us driving up the right way to the guesthouse when we were lost. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view and the breakfast delicious! We would definetely recommend staying here. Thank you for the nice experience!

Our host, Edmond, is so helpful, responsive and accommodating. Even before we got here, he helped us very quickly with answers to all our questions. The taxi was waiting for us at the bus station. Once we reached the apartment, we were warmly welcomed. The room is spacious enough and has a beautiful view. The balcony has two chairs with a great view of the Gjirokaster castle. The breakfast was delicious and homemade. The breakfast seating area also had lovely views of Gjirokaster. Our stay was fantastic, thanks to Edmond and his hospitality. We will definitely recommend.

great location, close to the bazaar and restaurants but also very quiet at night. It requires a bit walking uphill but it wasn't a problem for us. Lovely breakfast with great variety of food. The view from both the room balcony and the outdoor restaurant is stunning. The owners are super friendly and nice. Also very cute cats as a bonus.

With affable, helpful Host, Edmond, cheerfully assisting with parking and luggage and his charming wife, Blediana, welcoming with tasty coffee upon arrival, as we took in the unique, ever-changing, outstanding panoramic view - castle view included - from our large, opulent balcony room, we felt very happy indeed that we were fortunate to be staying in the beautiful Guesthouse Mele. The food here is plentiful, freshly prepared and of the highest class. The vast breakfast, with both savoury and sweet delights, will please every palate whilst the evening meal option is a great introduction to the tastiest of Albanian cuisine, prepared with skill and enthusiasm by Edmond and Blediana. The location is fantastic, too, just a few minutes walk from the historic cobbled streets of Gjirokastër Bazaar, amazing sights around every corner. We were sorry to leave. A few days stay is simply not long enough for outstanding Guesthouse Mele and amazing Gjirokastër but the happy memories will last a lifetime! A huge, sincere 'thank you' to Guesthouse Mele!
