Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight. Our room was comfortable and clean and there was a washing machine we could use. Hassan, our host was very friendly and obliging.

The name of the stay does not disappoint. We directly felt like visiting a loving grandparent. The location is great, not too far from the old town but far enough to have a quiet night of sleep. The tasty breakfast on the terrace in the sun with a view was an amazing experience. Grandpa didn’t speak much English but it was very easy to communicate anyways and we felt very comfortable and he was very attentive. We would definitely book again!

The host was extremely kind and hospitable. A true gentleman who was very patient with our inability to speak Albanian. A good location close to the old town but not in the busy, noisy part. A pleasant outdoor sitting area.

Hassan and Anisa were perfect hosts. The home is authentic with all modern comforts. Hassan welcomes everyone and is very friendly even with the communication gap that we had. The terrace is beautiful for having a cool drink and is very nice for Hassan’s home cooked breakfast. The location just short walk up hill to the old town and castle makes the location perfect. We rate this as one of our favourite stays in Albania.

It is a beautifully renovated old stone building near the centre of the city it has a wonderful garden to relax in out of the heat of summer.

It is a very beautiful hotel with spacious rooms with AC. Staff is very nice and helpful. The location is great just next to all touristic attractions. You can pay a (very) small fee for an exceptionally good breakfast.

The room was very spacious and also very tidy. The hotel is a short walk to central Gjirokastër and many of the main attractions. The breakfast was also great, and served by Grandpa himself!
