This is a beautiful location in the Spanish countryside, near many quaint medievil villages. Our room was so lovely and very comfortable. We borrowed bikes and went into the nearby town. Breakfast was delicious. Overall this was an outstanding experience. Would love to come back again in the spring!! Also if you come, go see the Dali museum in Figueres. Excellent!!

Castell de Vallagornera is nothing short of heaven. The location, the building, the land and the history make it such a pleasant place to find an escape. The location forces you to relax with a soft hand - so needed after a busy year. Frans and his team ensured we were comfortable, welcomed and looked after our entire time there. This new hotel is underrated - 3 stars is too little. I expect now is your chance to see this place before it receives its 4th if not 5th star. I would recommend everyone stays with them sooner than later before they’re fully booked for the foreseeable future.

This family home/farmhouse has been recently lovingly restored and developed to an unquestionably 5+ star level. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, spacious and finished to a very high standard. Breakfast is as good as other reviewers have suggested and some of the produce comes from the Castello's own gardens. The property sits in a lovely, peaceful rural setting with good access to Peralada, Figueres and Girona.

Such a beautiful place with wonderful facilities and welcoming people. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and well thought out. Breakfast was excellent and loads of time to relax and eat. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Franz and team.

Room was beautifully appointed with luxury features and a large size for the price. The manager was very attentive and helpful helping us book dinner. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.

All was pretty good. Bedroom was very tastefully done. Our room was Bastion. Lots of natural light and very spacious. The lady in the reception was very nice and welcoming.
