The villas are very comfortable, equipped with everything you need and more. The garden is absolutely beautiful, filled with flowers and artwork that create the perfect setting to relax and dream. The privacy here is exceptional – you truly feel like you’re in your own private oasis. The team is caring and loving, always ready to help and make you feel at home. The pool is refreshing and just what you need after a day of exploring. We sincerely thank the team for being so helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We will definitely come back – highly recommended!

Fantastic location on the north end of the island. This is the quiet end, but if you hire a bike everything is easy to get to. Speaking of hiring bikes, the staff will organise these for you on request for $5AUD a day. They also supply a cool map which makes it easy to navigate around the island. The staff were amazing and very super-friendly. We loved that they taught us basic Indonesian and repeated the phrases every time we saw them. I get the feeling this is a cheeky F you to us westerners and we loved it! Lol. There is a chilled water cooler supplied with the villa which is restocked on empty. We managed to drink 20L between the two of us! FYI, we stayed during the ‘wet season’ which wasn’t very wet. It only rained a few times of a night time. Gili Air is a lot more chilled and laid back compared to Gili T. We would definitely come back to this island. For the breakfast, we had several at Kopi Susu and Gili Bliss. Thank you for the stay Samalama.

Absolutely extraordinary space!! The setting could not have been more perfect! It is a peaceful, tranquil oasis set apart from the bustling parts of the island. Honestly, I could live there it was so idyllic. Everything was clean, well furnished and well presented. The bedding was soft and comfortable, including very soft bed linens. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They helped with absolutely anything I may have needed. They put your contact into a WhatsApp group just for your villa and you can text them anytime with questions or requests and someone always responds quickly. So attentive, but also very gracious and hospitable! I loved having the private garden and pool. It was a beautiful sanctuary to get away and have some real privacy. This has been by far the best place I’ve stayed! I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

The villa was spotless and the garden beautiful and very relaxing. Very clean pool. Staff super friendly. Excellent airco and the outside seating area was a big plus.

The villa is amazing! You get everything you need for a perfect stay. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, there you'll find many nice restaurants and places to chill and enjoy the sunset. Staff was polite and always available to help you. Comfy bed, clean room and we really enjoyed the private pool. Highly recommend this!

This place is amazing!!! A really nice, clean and comfy residence only a 5 min walk from the beach on the north side of the island. Great for sunsets and far away from the mosque (although, if you're a light sleeper you may still want foam earplugs). The bed was comfy, the room was spacious and included a safe, and a nice wardrobe. The pool was delightful, refreshing and kept clean, the shower was delicious and the bathroom very cute, it even had a Japanese-style toilet seat (which was a nice touch), and the outdoor chill space was lovely and included an outdoor shower, a mini fridge and a little stovetop. I felt it very reasonably priced for what you get. The service here was some of the best I've ever experienced. Mike, who handled our stay was an absolute sweetheart!! He brought us everything we needed, delicious omelettes and tropical fruits for breakfast. Organised transport to and from the villa, got us bikes for rent and even gave us FREE chilled coconuts everyday. Then there were the little touches like, lighting mosquito could for us and don't little tidy ups while we were out. Just amazing!

I did a ton of research before booking our accom on Gili Air and the reviews for Villas Samalama did not let me down. It’s a fabulous place to stay. Mike - the Manager - goes out of his way to ensure you have a great stay. He had bikes ready for us when we arrived (I had emailed to book them), gave us great local advice, organised our laundry service, brought us fresh coconuts everyday, organised a boat to collect us and carried our luggage to the beach. His team are also lovely and very helpful. The villa is spotless, super outdoor area, bed comfortable and we loved the privacy and private pool. It’s close to the sunset side of the island and a great beach. We’ll definitely be back!
