The Grandhotel Giessbach is a historic house from 1874 and enjoys a secluded position on a hill above Lake Brienz amid a 22-hectare park. It is located at the foot of the Giessbach Waterfall and is directly connected to the Giessbach ship pier by Europe's oldest funicular.

It is a very special location so close to the falls, with a majestic view of the lake. Bed was extremely comfortable, great sleep. Staff were really helpful, happy and efficient. The four course half board menu was fantastic.
