Lovely boutique hotel situated above a fancy bakery, which is where breakfast is served, with warm from the oven pastries. Very polite and friendly staff.

Good location few hundred metres from tram stop. Plenty of shops around, including supermarket close by, and not too far from the castle and canals in the old town. Hotel is above a patisserie so you have breakfast on your doorstep. Bed was very comfortable, if a little on the high side. Good size en-suite with shower. Room was nicely laid out.

Absolutely a great spot to stay. Easy check-in (in the bakery during open hours or code). Do not pass up their breakfast - only available if you stay the night. You will be the envy of others there hahaha. Delicious. Great location to get to all the biggest sights of Ghent. Thanks.

I didn't book with breakfast but as the property is on a patisserie the aroma of baking croissants was too tempting. Coffee is ok, machine made so not the greatest, but the pain au chocolat was exceptional

After s few niggles with the bedroom and bathroom it was promptly rectified by the owner. Very friendly staff. Marvelous and very tempting entry through the pastries shop. Do be beware that although Le Merveilleux is advertised as a B&B, breakfast is not included in the room price.

I stayed in a beautiful room on the corner. Everything was clean and in a nice style that suits the building. Spaceous and a good bed. Breakfast is downstairs in the nicest patisserie! Its located right in the city centre of Ghent.
