I was right in the heart of the old town. The monastery grounds and the room was very comfortable. I liked that the room was quiet. The room itself is no frills (no mirror except in the bathroom, no tv, no tea/ coffee making facilities). The bed was very comfortable and the shower area was large and the water pressure was excellent. The free breakfast was nice and there was an array of food choices. I really enjoyed my stay.

We did not know it at the time of booking, but this is a B&B in a working monastery. Old, beautiful architecture with a strict simplicity, meditative. At night it is absolutely silent, delicious. Very good breakfast, room is comfortable with 3 good seats, temperature easily regulated. It's a 5 minute walk to the historical centre and the canals of Gent.

Very clean, quiet and everything was well organised. Staff were helpful. Grounds were lovely. Breakfast was very good. Great location for sightseeing and not far from the tram stop to the rail station.

Staying at the hotel is an experience in itself. The climate of quiet contemplation is pulpable and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for some peace and quiet.

Old church/monastery, can be a bit spooky at first glance since it's so quiet and we barely crossed paths with anyone, but it is so beautiful and special! Very clean, very well appointed, everything that you need available, and perfectly located, just a couple of minutes walk to historic center.

Such a peaceful, clean and comfortable place! A very luxurious ensuite. And just a few minutes to walk to the beautiful historic centre. Very tasty breakfast buffet. Lots of lockers to leave your luggage in after you check out too.

This was a truly "historic" stop over. Felt as if at any moment you would bump into a Nun from the adjacent working Convent. The corridors were silent, almost payer like and you felt very much part of the religious atmosphere. The building is fantastically situate for visiting the town and yet alos just that 200m away from any rowdiness. Coming and going was easy and everything was immaculate.
