Bed and Breakfast Overview

B&B The Verhaegen provides elegant rooms in a monument that carries the same name in and is located in the heart of historical Ghent, set in an 18th-century mansion.
Each guest room is individually decorated, combining contemporary style with the more traditional features that characterise this building.
Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout the B&B. You can start your day with a healthy and nourishing breakfast served in the dining room, and admire paintings by P.N. van Reysschoot.

This very spacious room with its 3 large windows offers besides a romantic Louis XV four-poster queen-size bed a nice sitting area with an elegant Queen Ann sofa. A smaller but spectacular bathroom surprises with its many mirrors on the walls. This very comfortable junior suite has a very pleasant and quiet atmosphere.

This vast suite consist of a very large bedroom with a king size bed, a private salon with contemporary red linen wall tapestries, and a large bathroom with a king size bath. These beautiful period rooms have a very pleasant feeling by the choice of modern colours and contemporary art combined with the high-moulded ceilings and fantastic paneled doors. This room can accommodate an extra guest.

All rooms are as beautifully decorated and have their own bathroom with marble tabletops. Modern designs are combined with carefully chosen antiques. The impressive high ceilings, soft carpeting especially designed for the house, beautiful curtains and the use of magnificent marble give you a unique feeling of luxury and singularity. This room comes with a queen size bed or twin beds, a telephone line, free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and a minibar. The bathroom is provided with Floris toiletries, a professional hairdryer and thick robes.

What a fantastic historic gem, but also in a really great location for exploring Ghent . A truly beautiful yet comfortable place to stay and relax with such welcoming and helpful hosts. The interior is a feast to the eyes and so stylishly curated with great attention to detail in all the rooms and spaces. A real pleasure to wonder round and explore, including the wonderful gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
