The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. With effect from 1 June 2014, the Penang City Council will be imposing a city tax of MYR 3 per room per night, which is payable directly to the resort upon check-in.

Location is good. Staff was helpful. We were going out when we apotted water dripping from ceiling. it was fixed by tine we got back. Location was convenient. Room was clean. Except I wish towels with frailed side should be discarded.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I am impressed with the staff's responsiveness to address the defects in our room. The air-conditioning was not working when we checked in and this was fixed promptly. The toilet sink was clogged and slow in draining and again this was fixed by the efficient engineer. The blanket was smelling of stale vomitus and I told the male Bangladeshi housekeeper to change the blanket for me the next day. He only changed the cover of the blanket and there was still the lingering smell of stale vomitus. I wanted to use the mini fridge but alas the fridge was not working and I brought this to the attention of housekeeping who to their credit, promptly changed the fridge for me. Tried the buffet breakfast and found it to be lacking in variety. The coconut rice for the nasi lemak was not authentic and the chicken for the dish was dry and unappealing. Luckily my stay did not include the breakfast and eating it once was enough. The hotel can do better with better chefs. The hotel location is excellent as it is near eating spots and shopping centres like Gama. The hotel staff especially the reception was polite,super friendly and efficient. Will I stay here again? There are better alternatives .

Location. Big comfy rooms. Walking distance to centre. Does the job well. If you want the real colonial experience, not for you. But if a good place to stay close to town, excellent.

Perfect location to experience the life & culture in the centre of George Town on national holidays. I stayed for a week during the Tet holidays & the whole area was buzzing with visitors & locals celebrating.

Very good location and view to the Georgetown city center. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Indoor parking was available. Hotel breakfast selection was ok but quality could be improved

Im confused. When booking through Booking.com i saw breakfast included. But at the hotel we were not allowed in to breakfast. I didn't bother as i was going out .
