The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Children under 2 years stays for free when using existing beds. A maximum of one child under 2 years is allowed.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Good breakfast. Easy walk to Blue Mansion, Chowrasta Market, New World foodcourt, etc. Lots of good food and coffee options around. Also short walk to bus stop to hop on the free CAT bus that goes to the ferry terminal and around Georgetown every 15 minutes or so. Nice timber floors in the room. Wooden window shutters that actually work and not sealed by glass like some places. The lobby and corridors are warmly decorated. Rooftop is a quiet place to sit and get some air,

Beautiful old building, well maintained and decorated. Friendly staff. Good air conditioning. There is a restaurant on the premises that had a nice dinner (not breakfast) and a good dessert place next door. The room was well appointed.

The whole hotel was beautifully furnished and characterful throughout. It was well located for exploring parts of Georgetown by foot and breakfast was delicious.
