The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Payments using debit cards are not accepted at this property. Card payments must be made using most major credit cards only. (See policies for list of accepted cards)

lovely Georgian style room - however things were a bit slap dash with huge mastic trails around shower. shower jets and bath jets not working fully. large room with lovely balcony

After reading the reviews of this property I was a bit hesitant to book it, but we were pleasantly surprised with: great value for money, size of the house with the three rooms very comfortable. And furnishings being a bit dated is ok for a heritagbe building and being in walking distance of many attractions. Breakfast was ok, the room and garden feeling were great. I loved the jacuzzi and we liked the fact of having 3 bathrooms.

Location! Its located within the Heritage Area. Walking distance to Campbell Street, Penang Road, Chulia Street, many cafes, Kimberly Street for local supper, transfer road for Roti Canai, opposite the hotel with Michelin Koay Teow Thng! The room itself is wooden, however they maintain it very well and pair with Jacuzzi tub thats a plus! We appreciate it!

We liked the heritage feel of the hotel and our room is very spacious. Plenty of seating choices …. Sofa and armchairs. The sturdy bench right at the entrance of our room is very handy in parking our suitcases - acted as our luggage rack, and for putting on shoes. Super useful. The location is very close to Station 8 of CAT Free Bus and Komtar. Eateries close by as well. There is a ceiling fan in our bedroom, which helps circulate the cool air, which is greatly appreciated.
