Hostel Overview

Located on the corner of Eyre Square in Galway City, the multi award-winning Kinlay Hostel is 1 minutes walk from both the coach and train stations.
This hostel is described as 'Top Choice' in the current edition of the Lonely Planet’s guide.
Kinlay Hostel boasts a mix of private rooms and dormitories. Guest facilities include a common room with a pool table and TV, a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and a dining room. A free breakfast and high-speed WiFi as well as free computer usage, free luggage storage, free printing and free city maps are all provided to guests.
There is a 24-hour reception desk and staff are available to offer recommendations of things to do in Galway. Tours to the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara and the Aran Islands leave from outside the front door every morning.

Please ask at reception prior to check-out to avail of this discount.

Continental breakfast, beds with privacy curtains, light, USB and socket chargers. Cosy and warm. Lovely common areas with tea and coffee available, and biscuits with group fun games at 16.30

The hostel is very good; the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel was very clean and had a satisfying breakfast. It is near everything! I love it!

Exceeded our expectations. Very clean, comfortable beds, big private toilet/shower. We rented family room for 4. One of the best hostels we have stayed. Great value for money and location is just perfect in the middle of town and next to train station. Parking discount only eur10 24 hours , much appreciated. Breakfast was basic but it was great spread. Good facilities. Highly recommended. Staffs are helpful and friendly.

Good vegetarian breakfast. Great location - walkable from the coach station, good pubs & near christmas market. Very friendly & helpful staff. Good internet & very calm common area.

The location is just 5 minutes away from the central bus station. They offer €5 discount on the Connemara Tour. Some of the staff are nice. It has free snacks every 4pm. It has billiards pool inside. They offer free drinking water. You can cook. There is fridge. No freezer. Free soap.
