We loved how it was open air but protected at the same time from the rain beautiful house we felt we were on our own as we had both rooms upstairs

Amazing breakfast, different each morning & they took the time & explained the local food to us. Location right in the middle of the old fort, easy access & walking to everything. Room size was large & bathroom very big. Decor lovely, even had our own private breakfast patio amongst the garden. Monkeys in the trees above. Definitely would stay again & not hesitate to recommend. Staff beautiful helpful people.

The property is inside the Fort, on a narrow street, which was very busy when we first arrived, the Sunday at the end of the Christmas break, & much quieter for the next few days. Getting to it was testing for our driver, but there was a place 'reserved' to enable unloading luggage, which was done by their staff & our driver & done whilst we were given the tour of the house & accommodations by the manager. The rooms were beautifully appointed & very comfortable. Breakfast of fresh juice, fried eggs or egg hoppers, which is a rice based batter cooked in small 'wok' like pan, & toast was prepared in the house's kitchen every morning. It was fresh & delicious. There was no menu & that was fine by us. Easy walking distance to the beach & to the fort wall, where you can read historical facts & enjoy spectacular sunsets. The staff were fantastic, friendly always ready to help, though some struggle with English, and the manager is just a phone call away if help is needed. During our stay, the manager came every morning to check if we needed anything. We couldn't ask for more from the staff. We were fortunate to see a peacock & some monkeys from the house. Just remember where you are in a 3rd world country, don't expect the same level of workmanship (nothing major) as in Australia. Do NOT let this put you off staying here, as it won't effect your stay. My daughter had read some negative reviews & was a little concerned about my choice. Those concerns where quickly dispersed when she stepped into the house. Also, consider going in late Dec early January, less crowds & definitely lower humidity.

Location and style of the hotel was lovely. The room was comfy and it can get noisy in the morning if you fancy a late morning sleep. We could use their fridge to stock our drinks.

The staff is awesome, very kind and always there to make your stay more comfortable ;) Rooms are super clean, beds super comfy and bathroom big. We went 2 families with 2 toddlers and we had a big common area with table, chairs and sofa, were we could chill and the kids could play! Breakfast is amazing Location is the best, in the heart of Galle Fort, just fee meters of the "main street"

Two deluxe room next to each other with a common space to use were more than perfect! So spacious and cozy at the same time! All interior smells nicely like cinnamon house. Beautiful design. In the fort, but on a quit street.

The location was great. Very close to the sea front, in the centre of Galle fort. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Samitha. The breakfast was so tasty and there was a lot of food. The staff looked after our bags all day after our checkout which was very helpful.
