A wonderful place to stay. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beach chalet but as stated you can’t see it. However the room was huge and great facilities - they have thought of everything. The food here is spectacular with a massive choice to cater for all tastes. Lovely swimming pool and viewing area over the lake to watch the local wildlife. You can’t swim in the sea here as dangerous. The staff go above and beyond. Most people staying here are off on safaris so the hotel doesn’t feel full. Yes it maybe costly but a bit of luxury is definitely worth it. Highly recommend this hotel.

The experience of staying at this hotel is great because it is located in the middle of the national park. And the park adventure we had in the morning was awesome. They packed a good breakfast for us and were attentive. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Our room boy Chandruk (sorry spelling no good), and waiter at dinner Danuska were fantastic. Reception / back room staff were not very good, difficult getting responses to emails, and not very efficient at sorting a room problem. Great location for the Yala safari. Lots of wildlife at the hotel. Very near to the beach. Food was excellent. Pool is large but needs some basic maintenance, tiles fallen off the pool walls. Overall, great place to stay.

We had a pleasant stay overall, the staff at the hotel were welcoming, the lodge was very clean and comfortable. However, I found the pricing of the food to be on the higher side. The breakfast buffet, though modest in variety, was priced at 6,500++ pp and the dinner buffet at 10,000++, which felt quite steep considering the selection and offerings. I believe the dining experience could offer better value for money.

Cinnamon Wild Yala has a truly unbeatable location right next to Yala National Park. We loved seeing crocodiles and beautiful birds around the property – it's a fantastic setting for nature lovers. However, overall we felt the experience did not offer good value for money. The room was smaller than expected and the service was noticeably less attentive compared to our previous stay at Cinnamon Lodge Habarana. We also encountered a billing issue when a waitress charged us for completely different (and more expensive) items than what we ordered. Instead of 2400 LKR, we were charged close to 4000 LKR, and she tried to convince us it was the same price. Thankfully, the Food & Beverage Manager handled it well later in the day, apologized, and offered complimentary drinks, but this kind of mistake should not happen in a hotel of this category. It's essential to double-check every bill and be very careful with what you’re signing. Another downside: we couldn’t sleep well at night due to monkeys jumping and making loud noises on our roof – it felt like they were throwing a party! It was quite disruptive, though we understand it comes with the territory when you're staying so close to wildlife. Additionally, Cinnamon hotels add about 30% in taxes and service charges to food, drinks, and spa treatments. Even a bottle of water was priced at 1000 LKR, which felt excessive. While the surroundings are undeniably beautiful, the overall experience felt overpriced and lacked the refinement expected at this level. Not a good value for money.

We went to 9 hotels in Sri Lanka and this one blew me away. Honestly everyone’s kind everywhere you go (or we’ve been outrageously lucky) but here the staff were very personable and I had the sense that they were happy to be there. We stayed in more impressive or modern rooms elsewhere but the shower here was hands down the absolute best. The buffets were exceptional, the a la carte appropriately priced. The pool was glorious. The other guests are all so happy and chatting with each other cause it’s exciting, you’re on safari. Grown ups become big kids. And that brings me to the grounds. You are directly Nextdoor to the Hilton on the edge of the national park. Although it didn’t happen when we were there, elephants actually go into hotel grounds. We saw crocodiles a stones throw from the hotel, mongoose and peacocks sauntered around. It’s both luxurious and exciting to be here

Beautiful location and resort in the middle of Yala NP. Luxurious but casual. Lovely pool overlooking lagoon and our cabin was gorgeous. Lots of wildlife and a great place to relax after safari. The offerings at the buffet were very good.
