Hotel Overview

The 5-star Vidamar Resorts Madeira is situated on Madeira's southern coast, just few minutes walk from central Funchal. It features 3 salt-water infinity pools for adults and one for children. The property boasts panoramic views of the Atlantic.
All rooms at Vidamar Resorts Madeira have sea or garden views from the balconies. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, cable TV, mini refrigerator and an en suite bathroom.
On-site restaurants offer local and international specialities and include the Ocean Buffet Restaurant, the Sabor a Mar Restaurant, the Casa das Espetadas Restaurant, the Koi Sushi Bar and the Italian á la carte restaurant Mamma Mia by Giovanni. There is also a piano bar and snooker lounge.
The Aquatica Kids World offers a safe environment to play and create for children between 3 and 11, while the Thalasso Sea Spa, surrounded by water and elegance, offers relaxing programmes to adults. It features a variety of treatments, relaxing areas, dynamic swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, Turkish bath as well as contrast, Vichy and Scottish shower.
Guests can exercise in the fully-equipped fitness centre, play squash or sunbathe on the hotel's sea platform, where also runs classes in various water sports (seasonal). The Vidamar Madeira is 18 km from Madeira Santa Catarina Airport. Parking is available for an additional fee.

- Excellent view from spacy rooms - Three swimming pools (used daily), spa (not used) with a diving site on premise - Specialty restaurants (not the Oceans buffet restaurant) on site - Late check out possible without extra cost - Friendly staff, especially the "singing egg lady" preparing omelets, poached or any other kind of eggs made our day!

Loved the location. Great for walk into Funchal buses near by and hop on hop off bus. Hotel spacious and clean. Spa on offer snd three outdoor salt water pools with a fantastic view. Breakfast was excellent eggs cooked to order plenty of choice. Evening buffet good but liked the fact you had a credit yo try the other restaurants. Traditional Portuguese 🇵🇹 restaurant was great. Other options Italian or sushi but didn’t try them. Majority of staff friendly and helpful.

This was the second time we stayed at Vidamar Madeira as a big family group, this time with the addition of a family of friends. We were 17 altogether. Although we love the hotel, the simplicity, the easiness and the location, the best aspect of the hotel by far is the personnel. Everyone is so nice, friendly and efficient !

Good location: direct by the ocean, close to many restaurants and shops, bus stop nearby to get you to city centre Restaurants on the site: as vegan I was positively surprised with options I had to choose from Facilities: very nice outdoor infinity pools
