we upgraded our room to an ocean view suite which was magical. The view space and services was top notch. The location fantastic and in walking distance to all major Funchal Destinations. We appreciated that there was free parking although not a great lot, one was provided. There is also a paid lot that was fairly priced. It is a vast hotel. The breakfast, Resturant taverna and pub were convenient and provided delicious meals.

That the hotel looked straight out to see & swimming in the seawater pool with the sound of og the sea right by was wonderful. We had lovely rooms on 3rd floor with every convenience

The room, own floor 15 had an incredible view looking over the Atlantic, and we were able to see both sunrise and sunset. We could also see the big cruise ships arriving and leaving the port of Funchal.

Lovely bedroom with almost floor to ceiling windows/ door to balcony with terrific town & port / harbour views. Great check in service & staff with great info. Walking distance to nearby Sé area & lovely coastal walk to Santa Maria area. The impact of the city lights & festive efforts is brilliant from higher floors.

Amazing, not touched, old architecture with the great understanding of comfort. I truly believe that a great designers who can preserve the old and inhale new elements in the building could make a place an unforgettable gem of the Funchal. Good lack. I personally believe that it was a great value for the money :)

Breakfast was quite typical, no much choises so after 2 days you eat the same.... What helped it were fresh fruits and delicious sweets
