We used Tsurubaya as our home base when we climbed Mt. Fuji. There was only three of us in a house spacious enough to sleep 10. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax before and after the climb, and we're very comfortable. The onsen bath was fantastic, especially when we returned from Fuji cold, tired and aching. The kitchen was well equipped, and we ate several meals in the house. (There was also two good restaurants nearby, and even though they didn't have English menus, we were able to order using some basic Japanese and Google translate.) The house is very well situated next to the train station, just be aware that the trains only run a couple of times an hour. Once you're familiar with the timetable this isn't an issue as you can be out the door and on the station in less than a minute. We also made use of the bikes provided to ride to Lake Kawaguchiko, which took about 30 minutes. It was great to stay in a regular Japanese neighbourhood, away from the main tourist areas of Kawaguchiko, yet still be close enough to really enjoy the area. We could even see Fuji-san from the front yard.

I loved the entire house. Usually could be the fotos in the booking.com better than the real accommodation, but in this case, the reality better than foto. Rooms are all clean, included bath room. I surelly will return to this accommodation.

We loved the local neighbourhood location away from the mayhem of Mount Fuji. We loved the local Izakaya Sanada and had some wonderful hospitality there. We enjoyed the close proximity to the station. We appreciated the space, traditional Japanese style, and facilities in this property.
