The view of Mt. Fuji from the room window is very beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the design is traditional Japanese. The outdoor bath is a must try. The owner (Kobayashi-san) and the staff were very kind and warm. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. We will definitely come again!

I loved our stay at Shoji Lake hotel! It’s in a quiet area and had barely any people so we could enjoy Mount Fuji at a slower pace with peace and quiet compared to our next day in Lake Kawaguchi. Each room has an amazing view and the hotel has an open air onsen and sauna which are both tattoo friendly. The staff were very friendly and attentive too.

Old school vibe but the place has charm overall this place is wonderful. Great views of Mt Fuji and the lake. The staff and owner are incredible.

I cannot recommend this property more and we will definitely be back! The host is so gracious and kind, greeted us at the door and helped us take photos The rooms are utterly beautiful with traditional tatami mats and a stunning view of Mt Fuji Very modern, specious bathroom with great toilet Private onsen Can hire kayaks on the lake Also close by is the most stunning hike ever There were barely any tourists around and it felt so peaceful and serene.

The staff hospitality was amazing. They greeted us right from the moment we got off the car and helped to carry our luggage all the way to our room at 4th floor. Really appreciate the kind hospitality consistent throughout every single staff. Also a lovely view of Mount Fuji from our room. Suitable for anyone who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy the still and quiet at Shoji Lake Hotel.

Location gives a very peaceful quiet place to relax, away from the city. It has a beautiful view of Mt Fuji and on our the morning of our second day, we enjoyed a fantastic upside-down- Mt-Fuji view. The owner, Kobayashi-san, is so friendly, hospitable and takes great care of his guests.

Amazing location, quiet and serene. Perfect view of fuji from our room. Excellent staff and service. Traditional Japanese rooms. Outdoor bath was amazing as well.

The view was amazing and the owner greeted us personally and took a photo in front of the lake before offering us a welcome drink. The onsen was amazing and tattoo-friendly. The rooms were lovely with the tatami floor and nice shower.

I loved the atmosphere of the hotel, a truly traditional Japanese Ryokan hotel with onsen. The view was just gorgeous and all the rooms are having a great view on mount Fuji. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. Definitely recommend the place especially for a weekend escape.
