We loved this place, we had the cottage and wished we stayed for longer, as the entire town was very nice as well. The hosts knew little English, but were very patient and accomodating such that everything could be communicated. We hired bikes from the property to ride around Lake Kawaguchi and watch Mt Fuji as the sunset.

Was a lovely stay! The couple who own the place do not speak very much English but went above and beyond to ensure we were well catered for. The on-site onsen was lovely and added to what was already a lovely, traditional stay! Can’t recommend it enough.

Traditional Japanese home hosted by wonderful couple. Place is located right by the lake. Onsen was a good experience. Host provides shuttle service to the Kawaguchiko station at 9am.

The location is very good as it is right across from the lake and next to the shrine. The owner is very nice and helpful. He is very kind. The Superior room ryokan style is incredibly spacious and comfortable with an excellent view of Mt. Fuji. The indent is small but very comfortable and relaxing. All facilities are old but comfortable and clean. I strongly recommend it. I will definitely come back there!

The property is a short and affordable taxi-ride away from the station. Doors close at 10pm and keys need to be left at the front desk before leaving. The on-site onsen was great if a bit small, but when we arrived there weren't too many people so it was perfect. The futons were thick and comfy and the room was cosy with two nice seating areas to relax. We'd booked an early bus ticket to Tokyo but realised too late taxis didn't run that early. Thankfully, the owners offered to give us a ride to the station for a small fee (which was cheaper and more convenient than the taxi fare.)

One night very good experience. The couple of host are kind. Room is not big but everything very clean. We slept tightly because the tatami bed and quit are comfortble. And it was very quiet. A surprise beautiful view the second morning just out of the inn. Near the lake and mountain view. It's really great value for the price!

The old couple who owned the property are very welcoming, didn't speak English but very nice! Felt like a traditional Ryokan for good value! Couldn't see Mt Fuji but due to typhoon Ampil
