The fine print
All guests must be members of the DJH (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk) or Hostelling International. Membership can be purchased upon arrival at the reception. The membership costs EUR 7 per year for guests under 26 years and EUR 22.50 for families and persons from 27 years. From 1 June each year, you can buy the DJH membership for half price when you become a member for the first time.
Non German guests must purchase a Hostelling International Card (EUR 18) if they are not a member of a national youth hostel association. For single overnight stays, a welcome stamp can be purchased upon arrival for EUR 3.50.
Please note that for bookings for 6 people or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply.

Very nice and tidy hotel just 15/20 mins away with public transport from Freiburg's main town. The rooms are clean and comfortable, during the evening/night it is so quiet so you can relax very well. Breakfast is very good and you can choose between many different delicious options. You can also park your car. Perfect deal for the price paid.

Loved the location, there is a stream in the front close by and beautiful mountains behind the hostel. The room was clean and comfortable, and there were good facilities in the common area. It's also convenient to reach, just a ten minute pleasant walk from the train stop.
