Great location, very close to the cathedral and Munstermarkt, and only 1 km walk from railway station. Nice old building. Comfy and very quiet room on the top floor. Superb breakfast included in the price. Friendly and helpful staff, no problem for storing my luggage on an early arrival and on the departure day.

i had a room w/private bath. the room was big and the bed was large & comfortable. i liked that the room had shampoo/gel. the temperature in the room was fine. i was glad to get a room right by the stairs as i do not like to walk in hallways. breakfast was included in the price & was great. the staff were friendly & i was able to check in fast.

The hotel is in a great location in the old town and was very close to everything. It was easy to park nearby in a public car park and the breakfast each morning was quite good. We stayed in the attic which meant lugging bags up steep stairs for four floors but it was a great old building with character. was very quiet and beds very comfortable.

It is absolutely wonderful place! It feels like you come back to the past but with all the comfort of the present days. Gasthaus Löwen located in the historical part of Freiburg and it is the perfect place for rest and stay. You will have a perfect breakfast, a comfortable cozy bed and a nice staff. They take care of you and you will feel that you are the dear guest who was waiting all this time.

The property is located right in the heart of the old town, there are plenty of places and sights to visit. It is very easy to walk around the town and reach to the main attractions.

Located in the heart of Freiburg's historic 'old town.' A maze of quaint-looking streets and alleys punctuated with numerous restaurants and shops which radiate out from the centrally-located landmark of the church with the tall spire. Steams of water on either side on many of the streets at which people sit alongside and immerse their bare feet into the cool flow. We even ate at the accommodation that evening, sitting outside its front. Food was of a high standard and there was also a reasonably priced set menu. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

We were welcomed so warmly by Herr Bauer and all staff were so wonderful and kind. Fantastic atmosphere in the restaurant/bar downstairs and room and shower was clean and comfortable. Brilliant location just a few mins from the train station and all the local sights. One thing worth noting is the steep stairs to the rooms on different floors, not a problem for us with our medium small suitcases though. We were able to leave out bags in a safe locked room after check out to explore the city.
