Surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic Huguenot Mountains, Franschhoek Country House & Villas is set on the outskirts of the town of Franschhoek, in the Cape Winelands.
The spacious and well-appointed rooms and cottages are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, seating area and en suite bathrooms. They offer tea-and-coffee making facilities, and a balcony or patio with view.
Monneaux Restaurant is set within a former perfumery, dating back to 1890. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and serves contemporary cuisine
Guests can unwind at the spa which offers a variety of beauty treatments and massages.
In the heart of the wine route, Franschhoek also offers plenty of activities for you to fill your days with, including wine-tasting on the local farms or in the neighbouring towns of Stellenbosch and Paarl. This large, double storey cottage features an en suite bedroom with shower and bath as well as a private patio with small garden. Upstairs, there is a lounge with balcony with a view over the surrounding vineyards. Please note the maximum occupancy in this room is 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12 years old. Just what we needed for a much needed break. Very attentive staff - nothing was too much to ask for. Large, spacious room with all required necessities and more. Location is perfect for visiting wine estates and restaurants but should you not want to drive, they do have a shuttle available.

We have stayed in the villas here several times before and this one was as lovely and clean as ever, and the gardens were beautiful. However the little touches that have made this place special were not there this time. There was no welcoming bottle of wine or bowl of fruit, their signature lavender toiletries have been replaced by generic ones, and there were no vanity packs also very limited supplies of teas ( only two sachets and three choices) and coffee.

The breakfast was delicious there was a buffet style cold continental as well as a a la carte. The cuppachinos were delicious too. We ate at the restuarant that evening and it was simply delicious and the service from the staff spectacular.

The whole area of the hotel was beautiful / from any angle! My room in particular was spacious and very private as I faced the vineyards.

Close to the town. Lovely setting, comfortable rooms. Exceptional staff. Staff were so helpful. They set up a WhatsApp message and do free picks up and drops off, & offered local restaurant recommendations and attractions advice.

The staff were warm, friendly and helpful (every single one). The premises is magical! The food at Monneaux Restaurant was delicious, and combined with the ambience made for an exceptional evening. Breakfast served the next morning had the perfect variety, was fresh and the cooked breakfast was so hot (straight from the pan to the table). AND HOT COFFEE!! Everything was perfect. It was dreadful to get in the car and return to the real world.
