Motel Overview

Bella Vista Motel Fox Glacier is easy to find, situated right in the heart of the Fox Glacier Village. Only a few minutes’ walk from shops, cafés and restaurants. Fox Glacier Guiding and Heli Tours are only 100 meters away, ask us about making your booking.
World famous Lake Matheson (The Mirror Lake) is only a short 5-minute drive and a beautiful place to take advantage of the most picturesque glacier views in the area. In the evening why not take a stroll through the Fox Glacier Glow Worm Forrest, the track starts right next to the motel.
Just 20 minutes from its bigger cousin Franz Josef, in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, Fox Glacier offers a slightly more intimate glacier experience.
Our superior Fox Glacier accommodation includes a variety of studios and one-bedroom units. Our purpose-built units have been designed with convenience and comfort in mind. You have a choice of king, queen or single beds. Each room has a kitchenette with a toaster, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and some with microwaves and cooktops. Also, you can take advantage of our outdoor BBQ and seating area. All units have double glazing which ensures a quiet night’s sleep. Fast Wi-Fi Internet is available throughout the property.

Comfortable bed and spacious room. Shower in the bathtub but after a long hike the bathtub with jets is quite relaxing!

The motel is on the main road, but quiet, and close to everything. The apartment was super clean and the bathroom was spacious. The whole area is beautiful, rainforest, and there are glowworms in the forest just behind the accomodation. The owner lady was very kind, she recommended us some nearby sights accessible by foot, as we had no car. There was a supermarket in town and you could get to Franz Joseph, Fox Glacier and lake Matheson. One of our favourite spots during our travels in New Zealand.

The motel is on the highway in Fox Glacier but there is little noise at night. Parking was onsite. The receptionist was very helpful and gave good information on walks. The kitchenette and equipment were appreciated. There was a good bathroom and the room had wifi and a TV.
