The bungalows are unique - felt like glamping. Despite having no air conditioning (they have another type of accommodation which has air conditioning), it did not feel that hot in the morning or evening. Most visitors would be out during the hottest hours of the day so shouldn't matter too much.

We love our stay at the Thermales. Kendal was so nice and welcoming. The bungalow are so cute and comfortable and the pools are great. You can use the pool after closing and get a very private experience.

The location of this property is fantastic, we had a car so the 5 minute drive into La Fortuna was easy and other attractions were within about 20 minutes drive such as the Hanging Bridges and Zip Lines. The hot springs being on site was amazing as was the view of the volcano, we were even lucky enough to have a full view of the top of it (it’s covered by clouds most days of the year). Parking is safe and secure, there is a very fun water slide on the swimming pool which was hours of fun for us and we loved all of the fairy lights around the property. Breakfast was really good, the Ranchos eggs were a fave. Rooms were cleaned everyday to a very good standard! We liked that it wasn’t rammed busy as there are only a handful of cabins to stay in so it felt like we were there alone a lot. The people we came across working there were friendly and helped us where they could with what we needed

I knew in advance that the room (bungalow) was extremely small, but I came to relax by the swimming pools (open until late into the evening). Staff was extremely friendly. Nice breakfast also. The guests were in a "calm and relax" mood (not a "party" mood) and I liked that. This place is away from the crowd, but still at a close driving distance to the center of La Fortuna, to nature areas (Arenal volcano, falls, sloths, bees, coffee, sugar cane, butterflies, etc.) and to restaurants. So the place is really ideally located. I recommend.

The place is very nice, beautiful lush, grounds, great hot springs, very friendly staff, our complaints are the smell of mold in the cabin, the netting should cover more of thatch inside the hut walls and ceiling .and the area around the hut should be treated for scorpions, one went in my husband's sneaker and when he removed his shoe later that evening it was stuck to his sock. I freaked out, I know we're in a jungle setting but I don't enjoy bugs, snails and other creepy crawlies landing on me when I'm sleeping...maybe a mosquito netting would help.

We loved the simplicity of this lovely little gem of a property. The hot springs were amazing - staff very friendly and we had a deluxe chalet which was reasonably priced and absolutely excellent. Watching the local beautiful birds come down to the fruit laden bird tables whilst we ate breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in one of their cabins which we found spacious. The bed was comfortable and there were no mosquitos inside, with a well functioning AC system and no gaps. The garden is incredible, you have a good view of the volcano and we saw several birds in the garden like toucans and wild turkeys. The 5 pools are small but most of the time we would have an entire pool for ourselves and you can use them until late at night. We also enjoyed drinks in the pool most nights and the bartender, Adrian, takes order and brings drinks to you. All the staff are incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed the quietness and the privacy. The location is out of town (a few minutes walking from Ecotermales). Despite being out of town, you can walk a few minutes to the nearby restaurants and the shop. They also have an onsite restaurant but the menu is limited due the hotel being so small. The food was good though and the included breakfast is delicious, we loved the huevos rancheros.

Stayed in a grass roofed bungalow, there is a bed, toilet and shower, little else. The rooms are basic but you immersed in to the local nature. The pools are very relaxing after a day out and about. The little bar and breakfast are excellent. The staff really made our stay wonderful, so much fun, they even tried to teach us some Spanish. "agua caliente” :) Thank you too all the staff at the resort you made the start of our holiday so rememberable!
