Great place outside of Florence. Nature and quite area, some great restaurants 20min walk away. Place was clean and host was welcoming and friendly. You need a car otherwise public transport is 20min walking distance away.

The ground floor apartment was lovely and fully equipped for self catering accommodation. It was nice to be away from the very busy streets of Florence in a semi rural location. Once Simon realised we had arrived he was friendly and helpful.

This was a fantastic place to stay. The apartment was clean, well equipped and in a superb location. We loved the pool and the peace and quiet! We made this trip with 2 teenagers- the twin room was lovely for them- and we had a spacious master bedroom and kitchen diner. We had a small hob for cooking and a microwave/grill, toaster and coffee machine. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. The apartment had good air con - for a 10E/night surcharge, which we felt was reasonable as we put it to good use in the Aug heat- we had 40deg C when we arrived- but was able to have a cool apartment. The pool was fantastic to cool down in/beside. The pool was salt water, and clean which was also good as we didnt come out with everything smelling of chlorine! The host Simone was very pleasant and easy to deal with - questions were answered quickly via WhatsApp- and he came to help when we couldn't figure something out. We managed well without a car- a #14 bustop was about a 15-20 min walk away with direct busses every 10 mins into the centre of Florence (took about 20 mins to SMN station). bus tickets very easy via an App. Good local restaurants (recommend Pizzaman). Large local supermarket (Essenlunga) was a 20 min walk on an easy flat road- again possible without a car. Beautiful views of Tuscan countryside- very quiet and calm at night. Beds were comfortable, towels etc provided. Apartment was secure and the area seemed very safe to explore. We had no worries arriving back late after day trips to Venice (2hr 10s) and Rome (2hr 15). Book trains via TrenItalia app 36hrs ahead to get the Freccafamily discounted tickets. Buses were very clean/safe/obvious how to use- we tried the local train station once- but it didn't seem straightforward. Water in appt was safe and clean to drink.

The pool was great during hot weather, especially with children in tow. Building has great character. It used to be on a farm belonging to the current owner’s family and this property was an olive oil mill. Good choice of outdoor spaces: shaded area, barbecue area, terrace and pool, so others aren’t on top of you. Barbecue area is big enough to share though and other guests were very pleasant. This is a great location close to Florence itself and yet rural and quiet. Try the train from a nearby station. If driving into Florence, then learn about the ZTL boundaries first to avoid any fines. I used Parcheggio Sant’Ambrogio | Firenze Parcheggi which left the car 15-20 minutes walk from the Duomo etc. while being reasonably priced parking.

Safe and secure apartments not too far outside city. Bus stop, bars and supermarket 15-20 minutes walk away, but requires a certain level of fitness. Although part of the main house this apartment (Mele) feels detached from the rest as there is no room next door. Apartment had everything necessary for a short stay including on this occasion two kettles, with several lovely seating areas outdoors and a very nice pool. €10 per night air-conditioning was essential during our stay. The host is a character, both friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our time there.

The location was spectacular, being near an olive grove and in well kept grounds. The swimming pool was lovely and was a perfect way to cool off after a long day sightseeing. The host was very friendly and helpful. His English was excellent and he kindly arranged a taxi for us when we needed to catch our onward train to Rome. There was a washing machine which was great and meant we could take clean clothes with us for the next stage of our trip.
