I love staying here ( not my first time) due to the friendly atmosphere and staff. The rooms are clean and modern. The pub food is great and a variety of options on the menu for breakfast too.

Beautiful room, very comfortable with lovely bathroom. Very clean and it was easy to bring our dogs who were made to feel very welcome.

I stayed here whilst working in Exeter. It was much better value than a city centre hotel and the rooms are fabulous! I arrived late due to traffic and was able to preorder dinner from the road, to ensure I had dinner before the kitchen closed. Staff are wonderful!

This was our first stay at The Lay Arms, and it certainly won't be our last. The location is fantastic, surrounded by picturesque fields and a Church across the road. The pub is thatched, with low wooden beamed ceilings, open fires, and a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of room in the adjacent car park. The staff were all very helpful. We met Karen (the proprietor), who was so friendly and helpful. The pub has a great range of wines, spirits, and local ales. The food was excellent - we had a lovely evening meal, and the full English Breakfast the following morning was simply amazing. The accommodation was modern, very clean and well presented. I would highly recommend The Lay Arms to anyone visiting this lovely part of Devon.

Second time visiting, but first overnight stay. Amazing cosy venue. The room was outstanding. Pure luxury in the most country cosy setting. Every detail thought of inc. a torch on the room key. The facilities, welcome and staff 100%

Great location 15 minutes from the airport, in an exceptionally beautiful part of England. I had a lovely walk on the public paths in the hills before dinner. Cosy, lovely, pub, great staff, beautiful and comfortable suite. The food and drinks in the pub were super, too. I had dinner and breakfast here.
