Guest houses Overview

Situated less than a 10-minute walk from the centre of Exeter and a 20-minute drive from the Dartmoor National Park, it is next to the beautiful St Davids Church and cemetery. Townhouse Exeter is a Grade II-listed Victorian property modernised to provide guests with en-suite rooms and free WiFi. Some rooms have feature fireplaces and all come with towels and free toiletries. This guest house is committed to use locally sourced fair trade, home made and free range products when possible. The antique shops and boutiques of Topsham are a 20-minute bus-ride away, and a wide array of water sports can be enjoyed in Exmouth. The M5 motorway is just over 10 minutes drive away providing onward travel to Bristol and beyond. The major port of Plymouth is just under an hour away by car. Exeter University is 15 minutes walk away and a 5-minute stroll from Exeter Central Railway Station. If booking with breakfast, our continental styled breakfast is served in-room, delivered straight to your door in the morning.

The room is located on the second floor, accessed by two flights of stairs. The room may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Please note that the rooms are situated over 3 floors, from the ground floor to the second floor. The Town House does not have a lift facility and the rooms on the first and second floors are only accessible by stairs.

Very friendly staff and extremely welcoming. Great location away from the city centre but close enough to walk. Very clean and stylish. Comfy bed and plenty of bathroom supplies.

Breakfast was fantastic. We could order a good choice of food. The yogurt was exceptionally good. Full marks for also offering Earl Grey tea in the room. The room was very spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Location was perfect for us to get from the station and to get to town and the Christmas market.
