A great location and a lovely Youngs pub. Cosy room, comfy bed. A small complimentary bottle of Port and some lovely flapjacks.

We stayed for one night and ate both dinner and breakfast. All the food was really well presented and very delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was really comfortable, clean and well sized. Even though it was on the front of the building there was no noise whatsoever. The bathroom was a really good size with nice toiletries and large towels. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Bridport.

Great sized rooms with decent inclusive amenities. Kettle, tea bags, coffee machine and a brownie with a small bottle of port for two to share (or not) on arrival. Very well stocked mini bar in the room with varying brands of spirits (paid for on departure). Good sized bed and comfortable bedding.

The team go above and beyond We booked City Gate as a last minute little getaway between Christmas and New Year (without the kids!) some much needed time for us. We were not disappointed. Located within a quick walking distance of the city centre, parking areas and train stations it’s ideal. The room - we loved our room. Had everything we needed for our stay, comfy bed, sky tv was a bonus, nice decor, area to make drinks and get ready. Our room was warm, but the air con was perfect. We made use of our mini bar but not to the extreme, mainly because we would go to the bar if we wanted a drink. Bathroom - was large and decor has been well thought off. We loved the shower. The toilet did make a loud noise when it flushed, but when you put this into consideration of cost and service you receive from the staff it’s minor and something you can live with. Food - now this, we cannot rate the food high enough, breakfast is lovely, both continental and cooked (continental, full English and eggs Benedict fans here) Coffee is a good one too. We also booked a roast on our stay - one of the best roasts I’ve had, great selection, cooked to our liking in every way. Thank you chefs! Now when we say the staff go above and beyond, we were greeted every time with a smile and friendly chat. That in my book always sets a good tone. However, on our stay unfortunately my husband started having chest pains, which resulted in him needing medical assistance and getting to hospital.
