It is a nicely situated rural hotel which is not convenient to the town of Markina but in a tranquil location about 1.5 km outside accessed by a pretty park following a river. It has a captive market of pilgrims travelling the Camino del Norte as there is a shortage of accommodation which is not Refugio or albergue in the region. We have stayed before and enjoyed it. The owner is very welcoming and into locally sourced produce and sustainability. The food is also very good with mainly homemade cuisine.

Pretty location. Good food. Really friendly and helpful staff. The building and decorations are a great mix of history and modern comforts.
