Smoothies and yogurt would have been enjoyed. More choices for children would be valuable. The meals were very tasty.

Really nice hotel with grate staff , closed to the Beach , everything very clean . I was en many hotel in Costa Rica and this is really number 1 . I recomended for everybody .

Great place with a pool and ocean view. Great location. A lot of lizards and birds around. We got bottle of wine and stuff was really nice and carring.

The hacienda beachfront feel to the property was really nice with great views of the sea. The food was tasty and plentiful and the chef was always happy to accommodate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the bed was amazing. The sound of the waves from the sea help for a great sleep. The gym was well equipped and a nice touch for us who like to workout early. The pool was refreshing and a great place to chill with a cocktail. I enjoyed my two nights at Sunset Del Mar and highly recommend it. I will be back.

Love the location, the tranquility. It's well removed from any other hotels so there's very limited "noise" from outside. The beach in front of the hotel has plenty of trees to hang a few hammocks and chill out for the day. We come here 3-4 times a year minimum with our young children -- being steps away from the beach is a godsend, as we can just run back to the room for whatever random issue may arise. When "going to the beach" involves packing up a car and going, unpacking and etc at the night it adds stress to the start and end of the day -- which in the end limits the relaxation factor. We've been coming to this property for maybe 3 years now? I feel like it was run down/hit hard by pandemic -- but every time we return I see them making improvements to the facilities, cleaning up aging roof tiles and other structural and aesthetic features. Love to see them investing money to improve the property. I'm an expat, and live in the central valley. Being roughly 2 hours from san jose, depending on traffic makes it a great spot to shoot out for 2 or 3 night long weekend. At this point we've stayed in all the different rooms they offer -- and the ocean view king suite almost feels indulgent and is fantastic -- but we love their normal suites as well. The villas are good for 2 people, but tight for even 1 child and I wouldn't recommend it at all for more than a couple.

Located on a gorgeous and endless beach. Ideal for long walks and bird watching. Nice pool and rooms were nice and comfortable beds.
